After the demise of United DJs – we found that the listeners from UDJ wanted someone to step into the void left by a much loved station.
We had the DJs, the know-how, the drive, and the commitment – however none of us had ever won the lottery nor were any of us millionaires! – so we ran a crowdfunding appeal. We did that back in the summer of 2021 and we were able to raise enough to cover the costs of setting Sunshine up – with enough left in the pot to keep it on air for a while.
Our future plans involve selling airtime – and offering potential clients the chance to “Sponsor” programmes. We are very commercially minded – and are open to discuss any ideas that might lead to ways we can cover our costs.
We are working on a way for our listeners to subscribe – and when we have set that up – we encourage you to support us by subscribing to Sunshine.
